My Mom died tonight, on Mother’s Day. She had had a cold, and had promised me when I talked to her this afternoon that she would go see a doctor tomorrow, because she was having a little trouble breathing.  Later she laid down to take a nap and died in her sleep. It was the way her mother had died, and the way she always said she wanted to go out.

One of my birthday presents was a ticket to go out to see her in June.  I’ll probably now use that to go to her funeral.

I can’t think straight.
