Who am I?

I once said in one of my social network profiles that my goals were raising anarchists and lowering expectations.  As of now, two of the three potential anarchists are grown (legal adults, anyway), and I have decided to either raise my expectations or not have any at all.

At any rate, what you have here is a somewhat sentimental middle-aged woman, who after years of being defined pretty much as someone’s wife or someone’s husband is trying to figure out what it means to be defined solely in terms of myself.

It’s a scary ride, and I would love to have company on this journey…  what do you think?

You in?

Well then, just click on the Home page.  I look forward to seeing you around.

I am currently learning the lyrics to “Man of La Mancha” (long story as to why; related to the 400th birthday of MdeC’s death) and randomly googled some of them, leading to your blog. I appreciated first your sidebar comment on grammar, leading me to read more, and was finally persuaded to comment when I saw you mention Penzey’s Spices, making me curious–as a recent emigrant from Arlington with parents in Chestnut Hill–which of their stores you frequent.

    Welcome! Thank you for commenting!

I use the Penzey’s store in Menlo Park, CA. I live about 20 minutes away, and go there a few times a year.
