A couple of good things happened today. One of them was a very nice lunch with a friend, who told me some things that will be helpful in my job hunt, and the other…. may be a new job. I am hesitant to talk about it because it may not happen, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. It would not be the most spectacular job in the world, but it would be work, and work that I know that I can do.
Who I am…
I am a lawyer, former mother of teenagers, and a quixotic seeker after and champion of factual truth.
I make the best damn brownies you have ever had that are not regulated by the federal government.
I love movies, Broadway, and intelligent conversation.
I think in song lyrics and movie and television quotes.
I believe in the use of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar even in text messages. I am willing to debate the use of the Oxford comma, if you know what the Oxford comma is. It also makes me very happy if people use the subjunctive mood when appropriate.
I have been told I intimidate people. I am really just a fluffy-centered teddy bear. Really.

I totally get the hesitation to talk about it – it seemed like every time I mentioned a job Dan was well-suited for, and had good interviews, something fell through. The one he ended up with was the one I barely mentioned online, even when I went to State College with him.
